I spent my afternoon at the’ Nuclear Medicine’ Department of the hospital. I had my bone scan done. This consisted of a small amount of radioactive material being injected into a vein in my hand.
They normally do the arm but couldn’t get a vein there. After the injection, I went home for an hour and a half and had to drink lots to flush the radioactive substance through my system.
I then returned and they did the actual bone scan. It took about two hours. I guess it takes up to 24 hours for the radionuclide to get out of my system.
Hmm, maybe I should walk into a dark room now and see if I glow. LOL
Anyway, now I’m just waiting for the results. Which, I’m anxious to get back.
