Diet Coke

Overweight Risk Soars 41% With Each Daily Can of Diet Soft Drink
I don’t drink diet drinks because of aspartame, but I found this 2005 study in WebMD Medical News interesting. “People who drink diet soft drinks don’t lose weight. In fact, they gain weight, a new study shows.” “The findings come from eight years of data collected by Sharon P. Fowler, MPH, and colleagues at the University of Texas Health Science Center, San Antonio.” The full article can be read at ‘Drink More Diet Soda, Gain More Weight.’

The next time I see some Barbie drinking a diet coke thinking she won’t gain weight, I’m tempted to tell her that diet drink will go right to her ass.
