What’s the world coming to when you can’t ground your children for misbehaving? I was reading today about a 12 year old girl who was grounded from a school trip by her father. She was punished for posting inappropriate photos of herself on the internet. ( She should have been grounded. I would have done the exact same thing if it were my child.) Not happy with Daddy’s punishment she took her father to court and unbelievably won. The judge( A woman) overturn the punishment and the girl went on the trip that she was grounded from.
Am I the only one who thinks this is ridiculous? I realize that there is a behind the scenes custody battle between both parents taking place here, but I don’t think this case should of been taken to court and I don’t think the father’s punishment should have been overturned.
What we have here is a spoiled girl who has just learned that she does not have to obey her parents.
It won’t be long and more children will be taking their parents to court.
Why do so many of todays youth think they are invincible? I have noticed the majority have little respect for authority, especially their parents. Watch out mom and dad if you ground your child you may just end up in family court.
In other news my son was telling me that a bill is in the works to make it an offense for a parent to spank a child. (See Why the Senate wants to hit spanking parents with law change
Soon you won’t be able to give your child a pat on the butt or ground your unruly teen.
When did parents begin to loose all control over their children?
