2009 Christmas toys- Disney Toy Story Interactive Buzz and Woody Dolls

2009 Must Have Toys

The Buzz Lightyear Toy has come to life.

I was surprise when I read that one of this years most popular toys for the 2009 Christmas season was Disney Toy Story Interactive Buzz and Woody Dolls.

It took me back to memories of my son’s childhood. My son was a huge “Toy Story” fan as a toddler. Toy Story was always in our DVD VHS player. I can’t believe it’s been 14 years since this movie came out.

I remember purchasing the “Toy Story 12  CHROME Intergalactic Buzz Lightyear” in 96 for my son who at the time was 2. That Christmas it was the toy that was in demand. We actually purchased the last one on the shelf and he just parted with it a few years ago when he donated it to the annual Fire fighters toy drive.

The 2009 “Buzz Lightyear & Woody dolls” interact & talk with one another. Cost of Buzz and Woody is $99.50.

Speaking of Toy Story.  Toy Story 3  is set to be released June 2010.

Toy Story Trivia:  Who was the voice of Mr. Potato head in toy story? ( No cheating!)

Do you remember any popular toys?

Rubik’s Cubes were actually popular when I was a child.

Mr. Potato Head was clearly Don Rickles, which I noticed as soon as I saw the first film (and now I’m supposed to insult you with my Rickles-like wit – oh well).
Favorite toy as a child: Johnny Seven OMA (One Man Army), which, incidentally, Tom Hanks also owned.

Hey, you young chick, I remember being 17 and in hospital getting my tonsils out and a friend brought me in a Rubik’s cube. And a beer (we were soooo bad back then!)

Just scored an American Girl “Kirsten Larson” gently used doll on eBay for our little angel. no Toy Story toys this year.

Can’t wait to see the 3-D tho, hope it’s fantastic, ’cause we loved the first 2 flicks.

Oh, I forgot… my favorite toy.

Board games, all of them. I got sooooo good at Billionaire, there was a fair amount of strategy involved once you got used to how to finagle things.

Loved my stuffed panda too but sadly she went missing when I was 6 and I’ve never quite recovered.

I can’t believe its been 14 years! I remember watching that movie with my parents and younger brothers (lets see, one was 5 and the other was 4 I think) when the VHS came out. During Christmas time it was tradition to get the new Disney movie as a family gift (mostly for my brothers though!).

Fortunately my girls aren’t really that into Buzz and Woody. They like the movie, but they are more into the mutated toys Sid made. I have strange daughters!

I think my favorite toy growing up was Barbie. I had tons of them with clothes and the car and everything! My best friend had the Dream House but she didn’t have the car. I had the car but no house. Whenever we got together to play, it would look like one of us was moving in!
