Another year has come and gone. I can’t believe that 2009 has passed us by already.
This was a year of change for me. I said goodbye to a writing community that I had administrated for almost seven years and hello to a brand new writing community: Today’s Writing Community. Though traffic at the new site has been a little slow, I have many truly dedicated members who has made the change over and administrating it enjoyable.
I do find myself saddened and thinking, that all around 2009 hasn’t been an easy year for me as far as my personal life goes. There has been health issues, heartache and pain, but the important thing is that my family and I have stuck together and faced the challenges that we were met with. Life challenges make us stronger don’t they?
My oldest also moved out this year and I found myself faced with the empty nest syndrome that I had heard other mothers talking about.
There was a new addition added to my family in 2009.
And my little girl Mya turned a year old.
Mya and Maxi even started their own blog at Shih-tzu chatter times Two.
Finally, thank you to everyone who took the time to read my blog this year. Some of you ventured to my blog daily and left a comment, regardless of the subject matter.

A very special thank you to my top commenters:
Jannie is my top commenter of the year. She made her first post here in 2007 and returned in March of 2009 to begin commenting again. Since her return she has made 43 comments on my blog and even wrote a post on her own blog titled “Rose DesRochers how great is she.”
Erin shares the top spot with Jannie. Erin started commenting on my blog in 2007. She found my blog via a Google search and has been a very faithful reader and comment contributor ever since.
I would also like to draw attention to Ching Ya. She is a truly dedicated blogger who has volunteered a huge portion of her personal time and considerable blogging knowledge as moderator at “Blogger Talk Blog Forum.” A very special thank you to her.
I also had the pleasure of being interviewed this year. I joined the Famous Blogger club on October 30, 2009. If you missed my interview with Hesham you can catch it here: “Interviewing Rose DesRochers of Blogger Talk on Famous Bloggers.”
I’ve also became more active in the social networking scene. It was on Twitter that I met Gretchen Steen, a fellow writer and huge supporter of my writing community.
I’ve also met two wonderful ladies: Davina, a fellow Canadian and Sherry, a fellow writer who always have something nice to say to brighten my day. I’ve also networked with Chris, a friendly guy who doesn’t comment here quite enough, but makes up for it on Twitter where he doesn’t miss a tweet when I think no one is actually listening to me.
I also had the privilege of interviewing Bobby Nash this year who I also met via Twitter. (Interview with Bobby Nash)
I hope I haven’t missed anyone. I know there have been several new readers to my blog and believe me I appreciate each of you too.
Once again thank you to everyone who has followed my blog this year. I appreciate your comments and the support you’ve given.
Happy New Year, everyone! Wishing you all the very best in 2010.If you liked this post, why not buy me a coffee?
