A summery of Technorati’s State of the Blogosphere report is due to come out in November. You can help Technorati with their study by sharing some information about your blogging and social networking habits. The survey includes questions like how, when and why you blog. Is this a side business, full time job or something you do for fun?
To access the survey please visit “The 2010 State of the Blogosphere Survey.”
Last year a record number of 2,828 bloggers submitted extensive surveys about their blogging activities to Technorati.
The 2009 study had some interesting finds like:
Bloggers use Twitter far more than the average person and microblogging is changing blogging habits.
A large proportion of bloggers (73%) report using Twitter, largely for promotion and interaction with readers.
Blogging is becoming more mainstream and influential, but not replacing traditional media.
More bloggers are making money from their blogs, but most don’t make any.
Most bloggers are ‘hobbyists’ and are driven by personal fulfillment
rather than financial gain.
