Roger at Ramblin with Roger and Lisa of peripheral perceptions have passed the prestigious Zombie Rabbit Award on to me , just in time for Halloween too!
Many thanks, Roger and Lisa. I am honored, and am happy to now have the opportunity to share the award with other bloggers.
The said award was born at the iZombie blog.
The award works on a ‘pay it forward’ basis so I’m passing on the infection/award to blogs that I feel deserve some attention. (more)…

Our Shih Tzu Mya just gave birth on October 9th/ 10th to six lovable and cute puppies, four boys and two girls.
Breeding is not for the faint-hearted that is for sure. Mya was wonderful throughout the ordeal. Her hard labor began about 9:30.
Complications during whelping
Within minutes, at 9:54 she delivered her first puppy, a little girl who weighed 4.5 ounces. The pup was delivered in a breech position. The head was stuck. Once hubby assisted in getting the puppy out, she wasn’t breathing. Hubby rubbed, gave cpr, aspirated the throat and nose. We let Mya lick her. (more)…

Are Halloween costumes for kids too sexy?
Halloween is just around the corner. If you are a parent of a tween or teen-age girl, you may have noticed the disturbing trend in Halloween costumes now on the market. ‘Sexy’, rather than ‘scary’ or ‘cute’ has become the look in Halloween attire for females.
How the times have changed. When I as a tween there were two types of costumes: Cute or scary. Sexy was not among the choices.
What happen to modest Halloween costumes?
Tween – Teen Halloween Costume Hall of Shame
Since when does a provocative Goldi-locks costume fit the category of spooky, or even cute? Would you allow your nine-old daughter to leave the house dressed like this for Halloween? (more)…

Google Suffers Outage
I never thought I would see the day, but early this am Google appeared to be down in some parts of the world.
Rose from adventuresinsavings.com sent a tweet just before midnight stating she was unable to access blogger.com or her blog that’s on blogger.
After several tries and a search on Twitter she learned that Google was down- for some users.
There had been no confirmation from Google them-self, but several users stated that they were unable to use Google services.
Using Google’s Realtime Twitter search you could see multiple users Tweeting Google was down. (more)…

I spent another night/ early morning in the emergency room. My daughter had just taken an overdose of antibiotics.
Reason: It was another case of the “I hate you, don’t leave me” that A.J. Mahari refers to as the borderline dance in her post The Borderline Dance -
“I-Hate-You, Don’t-Leave-Me.”
She hates her b/f one minute, then loves him the next. When he goes to leave her she overdoses on pills to get a dramatic response from him. Her self injury comes from her deep emotional need to feel validated. (more)…

Please join me in going Pink for October
October is National Breast Cancer Awareness Month! In support of breast cancer awareness I’m taking part in ‘pink for October.’
The Pink for October campaign is about blog and website owners showing their support for ‘Breast Cancer Awareness Month’ by turning their sites pink for the month of October. As you see I have gone ahead and changed my header and am changing all of my sites and blogs to something pink.
Please show your support for breast cancer survivors, and the ongoing research by going pink too. To participate you simply change the color of your website or blog and then add your site to the list of participating web sites and blogs at ‘Pink for October’ . (more)…

A Twitter song
Twitter Song “Twitter me some Love” by Singers Marcomé & Bruno Pelletier
Yesterday I spoke about building relationships on Twitter. Tonight Donna Wilson brought my attention to “The Twitter friendship song” via a Re-tweet on Twitter. Guy Kawasaki co-founder of Alltop was the one to initially tweet a link to the song. (Thank you Donna and Guy)
